Joe is a lawyer. He’s in general practice, which means that he practices a variety of different kinds of law, but he specializes in family law. Joe is originally from Flint, Michigan. He graduated from college and law school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he lived for seven years. Joe also lived in Chicago for five years before moving to Colorado in 2006 to marry Eileen.

Joe loves to be outside, and spends the weekends hiking, camping, snowboarding, skiing and mountain biking. With Eileen’s help, Joe is even learning to climb mountains: in July 2007, Eileen and Joe climbed Pike’s Peak, one of the tallest mountains in the Rockies. He also loves fishing, and is learning to fly fish on Colorado’s rivers.

Around the house, Joe spends most of his time tinkering, and he’s recently taken up carpentry as a hobby. These days, Joe can usually be found building furniture in the garage. If he’s not in the garage, he’s probably watching a movie or taking a nap with Darth Vader. Joe plays the piano, and is learning to play the electric guitar.
